Hybridized by Jean-Pierre Vibert 2000
The foliage of this rose is dark green, and the canes have few prickles. The well-formed buds open to very double blooms (100 petals), two to three inches in diameter, with pistils showing. The deep crimson petals with a lighter reverse age to mauve. Like all true Gallicas, this rose is not remontant.
Named after Jean-Pierre Vibert's paternal grandfather (1871-1920).
