I fell in love the moment I first saw 'Ambridge Rose'. The roses have an old-fashioned form, opening cupped and later forming into soft rosettes. 'Ambridge Rose' is a deep apricot-pink in the center, which lightens towards the outer petals. The color is unusual and very attractive on a rose with old fashioned qualities. The bush is about three feet, and bushy with upright growth. I have planted three close to one another at the front of a border. I love these roses in a vase; they make lovely arrangements with other apricot-colored roses. The scent is strong and sweet, like myrrh and fruit. My rose can get some blackspot and it needs some extra care, which is worth it for the quality of the roses.
