Belle Matineuse

Hybrid Gallica
Hybridized by Jean-Pierre Vibert 2001

The buds on this rose open to beautiful, scented, double blooms, about 7 inches in diameter, with pistils showing. The color of the petals varies from almost white to a deep mauve in areas. The foliage is typical of a Gallica.

Belle Matineuse, a phrase of the Poets of the Pleiades, was adopted by the precieux movement of the following century.
