11th International Heritage Roses Conference
(Chaalis, France, 13-15th of June 2007)

The 11th International Heritage Roses Conference is to be held at the spectacular Royal Abbey of Chaalis situated 30 miles North of Paris, between the town of Senlis and the Charles de Gaulle International Airport.

The Conference will run from 13th to 15th of June 2007. This date has been chosen in line with the date of the WFRS Regional Convention in Luxemburg (7th-10th of June).

The Royal Abbey of Chaalis is a XVIIIth century abbey, now a public estate which has been transformed into a museum, with a large park, a rose garden, etc. It belongs to the Institut de France, an institution regrouping the five French academies (Académie Française, Academies of Sciences, of Fine Arts, etc.). The region is marvelous and has a lot of facilities for an international conference.

This 11th International Heritage Roses Conference is organised by the association Rosa Gallica, associated member of the World Federation of Rose Societies, with the support of the Institut de France and of the Abbey of Chaalis. A Pre-Conference Tour will be organised between the Luxemburg Regional Convention and the Conference itself (10-11-12 June), and a Post-Conference Tour will be organised after the Conference (16-17 June).

A private tour to the National Collection of Gallicas at Commer (near Laval) will be possible on the 18th of June.

Note: Most of the lectures will be in English; lectures in French will be translated into English.
