This rose has single to semi-double (more than 17 petals) flowers about 3 to 4 inches diameter. Petals are variegated garnet and red. Buds and peduncles are very mossy. Foliage is dark and wood is very thorny. Growth is vigorous.

Marie-Madeleine Lucat is the mother of Laurent Lucat, the son-in-law of Jean-Pierre Vibert.
